Biography
Peter M. Robinson is an American author, political commentator, and former government official. He is best known for his work as a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, a public policy think tank at Stanford University, and for his role as a speechwriter for former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
Robinson received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and his master's degree from the University of Oxford, where he was a Keasbey Scholar. After completing his education, he worked as a speechwriter for President Reagan from 1982 to 1990, during which time he wrote the famous "Tear Down This Wall" speech delivered by Reagan at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
Following his work in the Reagan administration, Robinson joined the Hoover Institution, where he has been a research fellow since 1990. In this role, he has written extensively on a range of political, economic, and social issues, and has contributed to various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, National Review, and Forbes. Robinson has also authored several books, including the critically acclaimed "How Ronald Reagan Changed My Life" and "The New Criterion Reader: The First Ten Years."
