Daughter of a Jihadist Leader Explains Why She Rejects Her Islamic Upbringing

Nonie Darwish was born in Cairo and raised in the Gaza Strip under Egyptian rule. Her father Lt. Col. Mustafa Hafaz led the fedayeen militants whose mission was to destroy Israel and kill Jews. Nonie grew up believing that Israelis were evil enemies of Islam but came to realize she had been indoctrinated as a child.
